Review: Our Stay at Helea Lifestyle Beach Resort in Rhodes

In September 2025 it was finally time for our long-awaited summer holiday. Our first stop was the island of Rhodes in Greece. Although it was our third visit to Rhodes, it was our first time staying at Helea Lifestyle Beach Resort.

Im September 2025 war es endlich soweit: unsere lang ersehnte Sommerreise stand an. Erster Stopp – die Insel Rhodos in Griechenland. Für uns war es schon der dritte Besuch auf Rhodos, aber das erste Mal im Helea Lifestyle Beach Resort.

As a young family, we’ve really started to appreciate the advantages of an all-inclusive resort. Being able to relax without having to think about meals or logistics, and simply focusing on family time, makes such a difference.

Here’s a look at our stay at Helea Lifestyle Beach Resort Rhodes and why it could be a great choice for your next Greek getaway.

DE: Als junge Familie haben wir All Inclusive Resorts so richtig zu schätzen gelernt. Alles ist an einem Ort, man muss sich um nichts kümmern und kann die Zeit ganz entspannt miteinander genießen.

In diesem Beitrag erzähle ich euch, wie unser Aufenthalt im Helea Lifestyle Beach Resort Rhodos war und warum sich das Hotel auch für euch lohnen könnte.

Location & First Impressions

The hotel is conveniently located just a 20-minute drive from Rhodes Town and the airport. This makes it easy to both explore the island and keep transfer times short - always a bonus when traveling with kids.

On arrival, the first thing we noticed was the minimalist, modern design. Earthy tones and textures paired with clean lines create a calm, stylish atmosphere throughout the property.

DE: Lage & Erster Eindruck

Das Hotel liegt super praktisch – nur etwa 20 Minuten von Rhodos-Stadt und vom Flughafen entfernt. Damit ist man schnell beim Sightseeing oder spart sich einfach lange Transfers.

Beim Ankommen fällt sofort das minimalistische Design auf. Erdige Töne, natürliche Materialien und moderne Akzente ziehen sich durch die ganze Anlage.

Our Room: Junior Suite

We stayed in one of the Junior Suites, located outside of the main building. The suite was very spacious, divided into a living room, bedroom, and bathroom. The highlight for us was the large terrace with stunning sea views.

The room had everything we needed in terms of amenities, and as a family, we really appreciated having so much space.

Wir haben in einer Junior Suite außerhalb des Hauptgebäudes gewohnt. Das Zimmer war riesig und in Wohnbereich, Schlafzimmer und Bad aufgeteilt. Das Highlight für uns war aber die große Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer.

Alles, was man braucht, war vorhanden – und vor allem hatten wir als Familie richtig viel Platz.

All-Inclusive Dining at Helea

We were on the All Inclusive plan, which included the main buffet restaurant, snack bars, and drinks. For stays up to four nights, one à la carte lunch and dinner are also included.

One thing’s for sure: you’ll never go hungry here. There’s food and snacks available almost around the clock.

Lopia (Main Restaurant) - Breakfast, lunch, dinner, early bird breakfast, and even a midnight buffet. The variety was huge, changing daily, and we especially loved sitting outside with views over the resort.

DE: All Inclusive im Helea

Wir hatten das All Inclusive Paket, das das Hauptbuffet, mehrere Snackbars und Getränke beinhaltet. Bei Aufenthalten bis vier Nächte sind außerdem ein À-la-carte-Lunch und Dinner inklusive.

Eins kann ich versprechen: Hungrig geht hier keiner ins Bett. Essen und Snacks gibt es den ganzen Tag.

Lopia (Buffet) - Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen, dazu Early-Bird-Frühstück und sogar ein Mitternachtsbuffet. Riesige Auswahl, die täglich wechselt. Besonders schön: die Terrasse mit Aussicht.

Tsouka (À la Carte) - Available for suite guests at breakfast, but also open for lunch and dinner. We really enjoyed the à la carte breakfast here, featuring local dishes and live music. Lunch was mezze-style and delicious.

DE: Tsouka (À la carte) - Für Suiten-Gäste auch zum Frühstück geöffnet. Uns hat das À-la-carte-Frühstück mit griechischen Spezialitäten und Live-Musik super gefallen. Mittags gab es leckere Mezzes.

Laerma (À la Carte) - A Latin American-inspired restaurant where we had our included à la carte dinner. The food was excellent and, if you only pick one à la carte option, I’d recommend this one.

DE: Laerma (À la carte) - Hier haben wir unser À-la-carte-Dinner genossen. Lateinamerikanische Küche, tolle Qualität. Wenn du nur ein À-la-carte-Restaurant ausprobieren willst: nimm Laerma.

Matsi (À la Carte) - Serving Italian cuisine for lunch and dinner. Sadly, we didn’t have time to try it.

DE: Matsi (À la carte) - Italienische Küche zum Mittag- und Abendessen. Leider haben wir es nicht geschafft hier zu essen.

For snacks and lighter bites:

Ammuda (Beach Bar) - Our go-to spot during the day. Great for a quick gyros pita and drinks right on the beach.

DE: Snacks & Drinks zwischendurch:

Ammuda (Beach Bar) - Unser Lieblingsspot tagsüber direkt am Strand. Hier gab es Getränke und Gyros-Pita.

Street Food Hub - A family favorite, especially for our 3-year-old. From burgers and hot dogs to a live crepe station, plus ice cream of course. In the evenings, there were also lighter options like sushi or tacos.

Souma (Pool Bar) & Soroni (View Bar) - Perfect for drinks, with Soroni offering some of the best views of the resort.

DE: Street Food Hub - Der Hit für unseren 3-Jährigen. Von Burgern und Hot Dogs bis zur Crêpe-Station und natürlich Eis. Abends gab es kleine Happen wie Sushi oder Tacos.

Souma (Pool Bar) & Soroni (Bar mit Ausblick) - Für Drinks aller Art. Soroni bietet die schönste Aussicht über die Anlage.

Pools, Beach & Relaxation

We spent most of our time at the beach. The water was crystal clear, shallow enough for toddlers, and the sand was soft - ideal for families.

The pool area is also extensive, with one large main pool and several smaller ones spread across the property. If you’re a pool lover, the Swim-Up Deluxe Rooms and Water Bungalows are worth considering.

DE: Strand & Pools

Die meiste Zeit haben wir am Strand verbracht. Kristallklares Wasser, flach abfallend und mit Sand – perfekt für Kinder.

Auch die Poollandschaft ist groß: ein Hauptpool plus mehrere kleinere Pools über die Anlage verteilt. Wer Pools liebt, sollte sich die Swim-Up Deluxe Zimmer oder die Water Bungalows anschauen.

Entertainment & Activities

The resort offers plenty of daily entertainment, all accessible through the hotel app. From live music and DJ sets to two on-site cinemas (with screenings for both kids and adults), there was always something happening.

We also checked out the arcade room, which quickly became part of our daily routine.

Family-Friendly Facilities

For families, Helea really delivers:

• Creche (0–4 years) - Available to book in sessions. Our son Teo loved it.

• Ella Kids Club (4+ years) - With a packed schedule of fun activities.

• Aqua Park & Playground - A highlight for children, offering endless energy-burning opportunities.

These facilities made our stay so much easier and more enjoyable as parents.

DE: Unterhaltung & Aktivitäten

Über die Hotel-App findet man das tägliche Programm. Es gibt Live-Musik, DJ-Sets, zwei Kinos (für Erwachsene und Kinder) und sogar einen Arcade-Raum, in dem wir fast täglich vorbeigeschaut haben.

Für Familien mit Kindern

Das Helea ist wirklich auf Familien eingestellt:

• Creche (0–4 Jahre) – buchbare Sessions, die Teo super gefallen haben.

• Ella Kids Club (ab 4 Jahre) – mit einem abwechslungsreichen Programm.

• Aqua Park & Spielplatz – absolute Highlights für Kinder.

Für uns als Eltern war das eine riesige Erleichterung und hat den Urlaub noch entspannter gemacht.

Spa & Gym

Although we didn’t use them this time, I had a quick look at the spa and gym. Both looked modern and inviting, perfect if you’re after a little extra relaxation or a workout.

Auch wenn wir beides diesmal nicht genutzt haben: Spa und Gym habe ich mir kurz angesehen, und beides wirkt modern und hochwertig.

Final Thoughts on Helea Lifestyle Beach Resort

We had a fantastic stay at Helea Lifestyle Beach Resort Rhodes. It was the perfect, stress-free start to our summer vacation, with a great balance of relaxation, good food, and family-friendly amenities.

For families with kids, it ticks all the boxes. And if you’re traveling without children, you might also want to look into the adults-only sister hotel Elissa, located nearby.

Would we come back? Absolutely.

Wir hatten eine richtig schöne Zeit im Helea Lifestyle Beach Resort Rhodos. Der perfekte Start in unseren Sommerurlaub – entspannt, abwechslungsreich und kinderfreundlich.

Für Familien mit Kindern ist das Hotel wirklich ideal. Und wenn du ohne Kids reist, lohnt sich vielleicht auch ein Blick auf das Adults-only-Schwesterhotel Elissa in der Nähe.

Würden wir wiederkommen? Auf jeden Fall.
