We decided to spend our 1st wedding anniversary in Cappadocia. Although we lived in Turkey for many years we always postponed visiting the region and I can say shame on us. It is just magical and a destination that you should definitely add to your bucket list.
We chose Millstone Cave Suites since we heard a lot of good things about the property and we were not disappointed. We arrived late and it was snowing but as soon as we arrived we felt very welcomed and the atmosphere was so cozy. Our room (Nr 1003) was a 'Deluxe Junior Cave Suite' which is literally located inside a cave. The decor is stylish and a perfect mix of modern and 'cave' :) They also prepared a little surprise for our anniversary <3
Now here is my favorite part of the hotel: THE BREAKFAST. First of all there is no time limit which is perfect for sleepy heads like me. You can have your breakfast whenever you are ready. It is not a buffet breakfast. You can order as much dishes as you want from the breakfast menu. It is just perfect and one of the best hotel breakfasts I ever had. If the weather permits its even better having your breakfast on the outdoor terrace with great views over the valleys of Cappadocia.
The hotel has its own restaurant, 'Millocal' which offers traditional dishes from the region with a contemporary touch but also dishes like Hamburger etc. You should try the famous 'Testi Kebap'.
The hotel owners are very friendly and make sure you feel welcome. They also just love to enjoy and organise fun events like wine tastings or sushi afternoon snacks on the terrace.
