Beach - A tropical paradise

The beach is honestly one of the strongest parts of this resort. Since I am 100% a beach person this makes a big difference for me.

It’s wide, long, and consistently quiet. Not just early in the morning, but even in the middle of the day it never felt crowded.

The sand is soft and easy for kids to play in, and the water was generally calm enough (May 2026) for relaxed swimming. We never had to worry about waves being too rough, which makes a big difference when you’re with a toddler.

It’s not a “busy” beach with activities everywhere, and that’s exactly why we liked it. There were also plenty of sand toys available for Teo to play with. There are a few sun loungers on the beach and right behind there is a big grassy areas surrounded with palm trees where you will find plenty of sunbeds and shadow.

Der Strand ist ganz klar eines der Highlights des Resorts. Da ich absolut ein Beach-Person bin, macht das für mich einen riesigen Unterschied.

Er ist breit, lang und durchgehend ruhig. Nicht nur früh morgens, sondern auch tagsüber fühlt er sich nie überfüllt an.

Der Sand ist weich und perfekt für Kinder zum Spielen. Das Meer war im Mai 2026 meist ruhig genug zum entspannten Baden. Wir mussten uns keine Sorgen um starke Wellen machen, was mit Kleinkind enorm viel ausmacht.

Es ist kein Strand mit ständigem Programm oder Animation und genau das hat uns gefallen. Für Teo gab es sogar Sandspielzeug vor Ort. Direkt hinter dem Strand liegt eine große Rasenfläche mit Palmen, vielen Liegen und ausreichend Schattenplätzen.

The Two Pools - Two Vibes

There are two main pools that you can move between depending on your mood.

The main pool is the one you see in photos. Big, open, facing the ocean, and very much that classic resort setting. It’s where we spent most of our active time during the day. Even then, it never felt chaotic or overly loud. There’s also a separate kids pool right next to the main pool, which helps keep things balanced. Families have their space, but it doesn’t take over the entire atmosphere of the resort.

The fitness pool has a completely different feel. It’s quieter, more tucked away, and felt almost like a reset space. Great for a dip after a gym or spa session.

Es gibt zwei Hauptpools, zwischen denen man je nach Stimmung wechseln kann.

Der Hauptpool ist der, den man von Fotos kennt. Groß, offen, mit Blick aufs Meer und klassischem Resort-Feeling. Hier haben wir die meiste Zeit verbracht, ohne dass es jemals hektisch oder laut wurde. Direkt daneben befindet sich auch ein separater Kinderpool, sodass Familien ihren eigenen Bereich haben, ohne dass die gesamte Atmosphäre davon dominiert wird.

Der Fitness Pool fühlt sich komplett anders an. Ruhiger, etwas versteckt und fast wie ein kleiner Rückzugsort. Perfekt für eine entspannte Runde nach dem Gym oder Spa.

Deluxe Sea View Suite - Breathtaking views

We spent most of our stay in a Deluxe Sea View Suite, and it’s a very comfortable setup for families.

The room is spacious, with a separate living area. Once your child is asleep, you still have a space to sit, read, or just relax without having to be completely quiet in the dark.

The design is modern and calm, with lots of natural light. The balcony with the sea view adds another layer, especially in the early morning when everything is still quiet.

Sleep quality is also excellent. The bed is very comfortable, and the room stays quiet at night, which is something you really notice when traveling with a child.

Den Großteil unseres Aufenthalts haben wir in einer Deluxe Sea View Suite verbracht und für Familien ist das eine sehr angenehme Lösung.

Das Zimmer ist großzügig geschnitten und hat einen separaten Wohnbereich. Sobald das Kind schläft, hat man noch Platz zum Lesen oder Entspannen, ohne komplett im Dunkeln sitzen zu müssen.

Das Design ist modern und ruhig, mit viel Tageslicht. Der Balkon mit Meerblick ist besonders morgens ein Highlight, wenn alles noch ganz ruhig ist.

Auch der Schlafkomfort ist hervorragend. Das Bett ist sehr bequem und das Zimmer nachts angenehm ruhig, was man mit Kind besonders zu schätzen weiß.

One Bedroom Villa with Private Pool - Little Treat for our Last Night

For our last night, we moved into a one bedroom villa with a private pool, and it really changed the feeling of the stay.

Everything becomes more private and flexible. You’re not planning around pool hours, other guests, or noise. You just have your own space.

The outdoor area is what makes it special. The private pool on the smaller side but enough to actually enjoy, and the terrace becomes your main living space during the day and evening.

With a toddler, it made things easier. No packing bags for the pool, no transitions, everything is right there.

Evenings were the best part. Once our toddler was asleep, we could sit outside, enjoy the quiet, and actually feel like we were having a proper break.

If you’re deciding whether it’s worth it, I would say yes.

DE: One Bedroom Villa mit privatem Pool - Perfekter Abschluss

Für unsere letzte Nacht sind wir in eine One Bedroom Villa mit privatem Pool umgezogen und das hat den Aufenthalt nochmal verändert.

Alles wird privater und flexibler. Man muss sich nicht nach Poolzeiten, anderen Gästen oder Geräuschen richten.

Der Außenbereich ist hier das Highlight. Der Pool ist eher auf der kleineren Seite, aber absolut ausreichend, um ihn wirklich zu genießen. Die Terrasse wird schnell zum zentralen Lebensbereich, tagsüber und abends.

Mit Kleinkind macht das vieles einfacher. Kein Taschenpacken, keine Wege, alles ist direkt da.

Am schönsten waren die Abende. Sobald unser Kind geschlafen hat, konnten wir draußen sitzen, die Ruhe genießen und wirklich abschalten.

Wenn du überlegst, ob es sich lohnt, würde ich sagen ja, vor allem für ein oder zwei Nächte zum Abschluss.

Kids Club

The kids club is one of those things you don’t fully appreciate until you’re traveling with a toddler.

This one is genuinely well done. The space is clean, modern, and feels safe. There’s a mix of indoor and outdoor areas, and activities throughout the day that are simple but engaging.

You can just drop in, let your child play for a bit, and take a short break.

We didn’t use it for long stretches, but even short visits made a difference. And Teo loved it too.

DE: Kids Club

Einen Kids Club weiß man erst richtig zu schätzen, wenn man mit Kleinkind reist.

Dieser hier ist wirklich gut gemacht. Modern, sauber und sicher. Es gibt Innen- und Außenbereiche sowie einfache, aber schöne Aktivitäten über den Tag verteilt.

Man kann ganz unkompliziert vorbeischauen, das Kind spielen lassen und sich selbst eine kleine Pause nehmen.

Wir haben ihn nicht stundenlang genutzt, aber selbst kurze Besuche haben einen Unterschied gemacht. Und Teo hatte richtig Spaß dabei.

The Verandah - All Day Dining

We ended up eating at The Verandah almost every day, mainly because it’s just the most convenient option with a child.

Breakfast is very good. There’s a wide selection, but it doesn’t feel overwhelming. Fresh fruit, Vietnamese dishes, eggs made to order, pastries, and good coffee. It’s the kind of breakfast where everyone finds something without effort.

We also had A La carte Dinner here and tried some delicious Vietnamese dishes.

The atmosphere in the evening is calm and spacious, which makes a big difference when dining with a toddler. You don’t feel rushed or stressed, and the staff are very attentive without being intrusive.

DE: The Verandah – All Day Dining

Wir haben fast täglich im The Verandah gegessen, vor allem weil es mit Kind einfach die praktischste Option ist.

Das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Große Auswahl, aber nicht überwältigend. Frisches Obst, vietnamesische Gerichte, Eierspeisen à la minute, Gebäck und guter Kaffee. Genau die Art von Frühstück, bei der jeder etwas findet, ohne lange suchen zu müssen.

Abends haben wir auch à la carte dort gegessen und einige richtig gute vietnamesische Gerichte probiert.

Die Atmosphäre am Abend ist ruhig und entspannt, was mit Kleinkind einen großen Unterschied macht. Man fühlt sich weder gestresst noch gehetzt, und der Service ist aufmerksam, ohne aufdringlich zu sein.

Gym - A Westin classic

It’s well equipped, spacious, and open 24 hours, which makes it easy to fit in a workout whenever your schedule allows. It doesn’t feel like an afterthought, which is often the case in resorts.

Coconut Tree Planting

We joined the coconut tree planting activity, and it ended up being one of those small highlights, especially for Teo.

For our toddler, it was something hands-on and different. For us, it added a slightly more personal connection to the place. It’s such a nice touch that stays with you and we are already making plans to "visit our tree".

Wir haben an der Coconut Tree Planting Aktivität teilgenommen und gerade für Teo war das ein kleines Highlight.

Für ihn war es etwas Neues und zum Mitmachen, für uns hat es eine persönliche Verbindung zum Ort geschaffen. Es ist eine dieser kleinen Erfahrungen, die man lange in Erinnerung behält und wir planen schon jetzt, irgendwann „unseren Baum“ wieder zu besuchen.

Everything here works without effort. You don’t have to think too much, plan too much, or move around too much. You can just settle into a rhythm, and that’s what made this stay feel genuinely relaxing for us.
