Where to stay in Amsterdam? - The Noblemen Hotel

Amsterdam is always a good idea! That's what we thought when we were flying back home from Mexico, via Amsterdam, and added a short mini trip on our way back. We were in the city for only one night and were staying at the beautiful The Noblemen Hotel.

You know that I love boutique hotels and this one was definitely a memorable one. Each room is dedicated to a known Dutch person from the 17th century and the room designs reflect these persons personality and occupations. Such a unique idea!

Our room was dedicated to Herman Boerhaave, a well known physician, botanist and scientist.

Exploring the room was like a treasure hunt. Every detail was carefully thought through. The greenery was showing Boerhaaves botanist side or the skeleton was a part of his occupation as physician.

The room was really cozy and comfortable and we enjoyed coming back here after a day of exploring. The room was located on the ground floor and also had it's own garden terrace.

What I really loved was the breakfast in bed. Since the hotel does not have a common breakfast room the continental breakfast is delivered directly to your room. The evening before you can place your breakfast order which includes local specialities like Poffertjes. The next morning it is delivered to your room at your preferred time. Was definitely the highlight of our stay.

The location by the way is perfect. The hotel is just a few steps from the beautiful 9 Straatjes District which was great for us, since we only had limited time to explore. There is also a spa available which we did not had the time to experience. The hotel team made sure we felt comfortable and was always super nice. They also gave us great food recommendations in the area.

I can recommend the Noblemen to everyone looking for a cozy getaway in the city. To check out the rooms and rates click here.
