How to spend a layover in Bogotá?

Updated: Mar 25, 2020

After spending a week in beautiful Cartagena it was time to say goodbye and continue our travels to our next destination. We had a 1 night layover in Bogotá and due to the unfortunate times of our flights we did not have enough time to visit the city centre.

We had two options: Spending the night at Bogotá Airport or stay at a nearby hotel. We chose the latter and thank god we did. Our hotel we stayed at was called Movich Buro 26. We knew Movich Hotels from their amazing rooftop in Cartagena and all of their locations look stunning.

Movich Buro 26 is located just a few minutes from Bogotá Airport which makes it perfect for us. We arrived late at El Dorado airport and were looking forward to get a good nights sleep. The hotel offers a free shuttle transfer to and from the airport. We were picked up and a few minutes later we were there.

Our room, one of the Superior Queen Rooms, was really comfy and modern. The bed was extremely comfy and we could not wait to get in. We also had access to the VIP Lounge were we could get complimentary refreshments. The room has everything you might need including a coffee maker and all sorts of amenities. Breakfast is included in the room rate although we could not try it since we had a very early flight.

In the morning the shuttle, which runs every half hour, got us to the airport in just 5 minutes. For us Movich Buro 26 was the perfect place to spend our short layover in Bogota. I hope next time we will have more time to also explore the city.

Movich Hotels has several locations across Colombia. Make sure to check out their rates and special offers.
